IGNOU UPSC 2022: IGNOU University has released a new notification regarding Free UPSC Coaching for Schedule Caste and Other Backward Class Students under the DACE (Dr Ambedkar Centre of Excellence) Scheme. IGNOU has invited online application forms from Schedule Caste and Other Backward Class students to apply for free coaching at UPSC. There is a total of 100 seats, out of which 33 seats will be reserved for female students.
IGNOU UPSC 2022 Free Coaching
DACE has already started the registration process, and interested students can apply for this via the official IGNOU website, before June 30, 2022. All the students will need to provide their duly attested caste certificates issued by the competent authority for availing of this opportunity.
The entrance exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions based on general knowledge, language skills, reasoning abilities and general aptitude. The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the test is graduation in any subject from a recognised university. However, students who are appearing for their final UG exams can also apply, with the condition that they would be required to produce their pass certificate at the time of commencement of the coaching classes.
A total of 100 students will be selected for this scheme, out of which, there is a 33% reservation for women students. Students will be provided UPSC coaching free for both the Preliminary and Main rounds of the Civil Services Exam (CSE). It must be noted that the selected students will be given coaching only once, irrespective of how many times they appear for the CSE.
IGNOU UPSC 2022 objectives
The objective of this Scheme is to provide coaching of good quality for economically weaker Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) students to enable them to appear in competitive examinations and succeed in obtaining an appropriate job in the Public/Private Sector.
As per the official notification, the minimum eligibility will be Graduation in any subject. Those who are appearing in the Graduation final year exams are expected to submit a pass certificate at the time of commencement of the Coaching Program.
The admissions will take place through an All India Entrance Exam which will be conducted by the University. The entrance exam will have 100 objective-type questions to test the candidates’ general knowledge, language skills, reasoning abilities, and general aptitude.
Number of Candidates to be Selected?
A maximum of 100 candidates will be selected. Out of the 100 seats, 33 per cent shall be reserved for women candidates. The selected candidates can avail the coaching facility only once, irrespective of the chances available to them.

Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste category are required to apply online through the official website of DACE, IGNOU at dace.ignouonline.ac.in.

- On the homepage, click on the ‘Apply Now’ option.
- Fill out the registration form by providing details such as email id, date of birth, and others.
- Upload the documents and submit the form.
- Save the application form and take a printout of it for future reference.
